Q: is this a costume event?

A: YES!

Q: will Craig Mueller be there?

A: probably but please don’t let that deter you

Q: can I win prizes and the adulation of my industry peers?

A: hell no. We don’t play that way.  Grow up 

Q: will there be free food and drink?

A: nope. This is a fund raiser not a soup kitchen

Q: should I bring cash so I can get it taken from me via the putting contest and the 50/50 “Name the Buddha” drawing?

A: Yes. Bring at least $30 cash for the above

Q: can I use Venmo, Apple Cash etc instead of physical cash for the contests?

A: that sounds like a complete pain in the ass so “no”

Q: what’s the theme this year?

A: all the past themes combined. So break out an old costume or make a new one

Q: what were the past themes?

A: rock n roll, Halloween, Pirates, America!, island theme, Caddyshack and probably some others we can’t remember. 

Q: can I make up my own theme?

A: sure we don’t care. We mostly want you to wear a costume 

Q: can I participate if I’m retired?

A: absolutely

Q: can I bring my own booze?

A: of course not. We can’t jeopardize the club’s liquor license. 

Q: will there be bad behavior and foul language?

A: undoubtedly 

Q: will Jean-Paul bring fireworks again?

A: ask Jean-Paul

Q: can I bring customers?

A: NO!

Q: can I bring my friend or neighbor who is not a customer?

A: YES!  new this year. We want the money. 

Q: why are we playing in Middletown MD?

A: Our longtime friend and supporter Ed the pro from Worthington Manor runs Richland Golf Club in Middletown now. As OSIAW veterans know there is no other pro that would tolerate this event! Let’s support Ed in his new gig!

Q: I am a Virginia resident so will I have problems with ICE in Maryland?

A: hard to say but probably not since it’s a charity event. 

Q: can participate if I am retired?

A: yes. I already answered this. You forgot already. 

Q: are there corporate and personal sponsorships available?

A: yes. See link on home page. 

Q: there were never corporate sponsorships before. Are you selling out to the man?

A: yes

Q: are corporate and personal sponsorships tax deductible?

A: these donations can be itemized deductions

Q: can my company do a corporate match to my donations?

A: for pure donations yes. Not for Golfers or Groupies. 

General donations, Virtual Groupies and Personal Sponsorships go directly to Blood Cancer United so are eligible for corporate match.
